Kevin Bennett is a native of North Carolina. He and his wife, Lynn have two children – daughter Jessica and son Hunter. Kevin spent his childhood years on a small family ‘farm’ in Canton, NC. He is a graduate of Western Carolina University in Cullowhee NC where he was a member of the football team and track team. Following graduation, he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the US Army. He spent 8 years in active military service, including one combat tour with the 101st Airborne Division during Operation Desert Storm, where he received the Bronze Star for actions while engaged in combat. Following military service, God called Pastor Kevin to a life of ministry. Pastor Kevin graduated from Southwest Seminary and received his first ministry calling as Pastor of Youth & College Students at Bent Creek Baptist Church in Asheville.
In November 2001 he was called as pastor of the Mountain View Church. Under Pastor Kevin’s leadership God has greatly blessed the Mountain View family of faith. In 5 years, the active membership grew from 50 to 600, and continues to experience growth. He describes his current ministry experience as the most challenging and rewarding time of his life.
